AnjEats: Seafood and Sisig from Queen and Princess Seafood Restaurant

Last Sunday, I woke up with aching legs. I did walk a lot the day before without stretching them out so the pain was something I expected.

My siblings have alerted me that our parents weren’t home and that they wanted to eat something different, other than the fried chicken at home. I wasn’t particularly craving for anything specific but something warm and cozy sounded nice. We agreed to order out while the rain has stopped pouring and got ourselves seafood and sisig from Queen and Princess Seafood Restaurant from Grab. The restaurant is situated in The Plant Park, a plant and food park.

The order arrived swiftly and safely in Styrofoam containers and a plastic container. The rain came in a while later and we’re very thankful.

My sister FINALLY got her adobong pusit (Php270). She has been craving for this food for months. Our parents stopped bringing in take out after their weekly grocery trips, and one of their usual repertoire of food included the grilled pusit (squid) from Baliwag. This adobong pusit was a dish my sister enjoyed so much this afternoon.

I got the calamares (Php270) as I couldn’t decide between the fish menu. My sister did bring up the fact that we don’t get to eat squid at home so it’s best to take advantage of the opportunity to order seafood. The calamares was chewy and flavorful. I enjoyed the tomato catsup and mayo dip that came with it too.

My brother, on the other hand, ordered his favorite, pork sisig (Php230), as it is the one thing my mother doesn’t cook and the one thing my brother hasn’t learned how to cook yet. He wasn’t able to finish this order because it was a relatively large serving, compared to the ones he used to order before.

We shared a tahong (mussel) soup (Php170). This was a warm delight. While I don’t eat mussels, I enjoyed the warmth and the flavor of the soup. I did say I wanted something warm and cozy. This soup was definitely it. My sister counted and found fourteen (14) mussels so it was a very good buy and seemed worth more than what we paid for.

Given this experience, this restaurant will be our go-to place for seafood cravings. We’d love to try the rest of their menu.

If you want to try this restaurant, download Grab and look for Queen and Princess Seafood Restaurant. Here’s a quick link to Grab: https://invol.co/cleuc70.

Until next time, Anj
